PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake detection device capable of reducing detection delay of earthquake within a predetermined time even when an earthquake occurs during self-diagnosis.SOLUTION: The earthquake detection device includes self-diagnosis processing means that performs a self-diagnosis on functions including an earthquake detection within a device according to a signal from outside or timer means disposed therein. The self-diagnosis processing means divides plural diagnostic items in self-diagnosis into two or more executable diagnostic item groups within a first predetermined time, and executes the self-diagnosis of the respective diagnostic item groups after a second predetermined time has elapsed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
