PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for assessing the mutagenesis of a substance, and to provide recombinant vectors used for performing the methods.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a recombinant vector comprising a mutagenic detection sequence consisting of a multiple of 3 bases without stop codon, wherein an initiation codon, a mutagenesis detection sequence, and a reporter gene sequence without an initiation codon are arranged in this order.
