PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise and lower a footstool smoothly, regardless of a stepping-down position of a person passing through a doorway.SOLUTION: A first link mechanism includes two links that are rotatable around a first axial line. A second link mechanism includes two links that are rotatable around a second axial line parallel to the first axial line. Two ends out of four ends of the two links of each of the link mechanisms are supported rotatably on a member fixed on a floor surface and a footstool as rotary ends, while the remaining two ends of each of the link mechanisms are supported slidably on the member fixed on the floor surface and the footstool as sliding ends. The link mechanisms are laid out such that a direction from one of the rotary ends of the first link mechanism toward a specified first sliding end is the same with a direction from one of the rotary ends of the second link mechanism toward a specified second sliding end. In the layout, a connecting member connects a first connection part located in a range between the first axial line and the specified first sliding end with a second connection part located in a range between the second axial line and the specified second sliding end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
