PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse input cutoff clutch capable of smoothly implementing a clutch operation.SOLUTION: In a reverse input cutoff clutch 1, a torque transmission member 104 is locked by an inner peripheral face of an outer ring 42 and an outer peripheral face of an inner ring 41 in a case when a rotating speed of a retainer 32 interlocked with a rotor 22, becomes slower than a rotating speed of the inner ring 41 fixed to an input rotating shaft 5 due to shear resistance of a viscous fluid 23 applied to the rotor 22. The torque transmission member 104 in a locked state is released in a case when the retainer 32 is moved in a second rotating direction opposed to a first rotating direction by restoration of an elastic member 31 deformed when the rotating speed of the retainer 32 becomes slower than the rotating speed of the inner ring 41, against the shear resistance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
