<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a felt usable at high temperatures and excellent in mechanical properties, and to provide a bag filter using the felt. <P>SOLUTION: The needle felt is such one that one side or both sides of a ground fabric is(are) provided with web(s) comprising a heat-resistant organic fiber and a basalt fiber in the weight ratio of preferably (95:5) to (50:50), being needled into integration, wherein the heat-resistant organic fiber is fluorofiber, polyimide-based fiber, polyphenylene sulfide-based fiber, aramid-based fiber or polybenzamide fiber, especially preferably polytetrafluoroethylene-based fluorofiber.
