This insertion device is provided with a rotating body which rotates about a first revolution axis, and an auxiliary tool which, in a state covering the rotating body from the outer peripheral side, is attached to an insertion unit. When, through rotation of the rotating body, a first protrusion on the rotating body exerts a pressing force on a second protrusion on the auxiliary tool, the auxiliary tool rotates together with the rotating body about a second revolution axis. In a state in which the rotating body and the auxiliary tool are rotating together, the first revolution axis of the rotating body and the second revolution axis of the auxiliary tool become closer together. |
