<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the loss of the whole of a motor in a drive controller of a DC brushless motor for driving the DC brushless motor by using a booster. <P>SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. (c), in a region that the number of target rotations exceeds the number Rb of base rotations, an inverter and the booster are controlled by a field-weakening current and a boosting ratio in which the sum of a field-weakening loss and a boosting loss becomes the minimum. In this manner, the DC brushless motor can be controlled to be driven at the best efficiency as the whole drive control apparatus of the DC brushless motor.
