<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having satisfactory scratch resistance and an antireflection function particularly when the film is made thinner, although the plate is provided with an excellent optical compensation function, dispensing with the increase in the number of constitutional films. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate having the optical compensation function and the antireflection function is constituted of the antireflection film, where at least one sheet of films having the polarizing function on one side of the polarizing film is constituted of only one sheet of cellulose acetate film containing aromatic compound having two aromatic rings of 0.01 to 20% mass to cellulose acylate 100% mass, and having an Re retardation value of 20 to 70nm and an Rth retardation value of 70 to 400nm, and at least one functional film on the other side is provided with a glare shielding hard-coated layer, a hard-coated layer not having the glare shielding performance, at least either of an middle refractive index layer or a high refractive index layer and a low refractive index layer on a transparent supporting body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
