<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance breakage strength and impact resistance of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp in a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is provided with a liquid crystal panel and a backlight disposed on the side opposite to the display surface of the liquid crystal panel. The backlight has a plurality of light sources and a plurality of lamp holders holding the light sources, each lamp holder has a pair of holding parts 20 holding the light sources and a connection part 21 having the pair of holding parts at both ends thereof, and the connection part has slits 27 formed at both ends in a extended direction of the connection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
