Provided are an image forming device and an image forming method, whereby dew condensation on a guide member of a recording medium is eliminated, and the recording medium is suitably dried. This image forming device is provided with: a first guide section that is provided with a first flow channel in which a temperature adjustment liquid is circulated; a heating section that heats a recording surface of a recording medium guided by means of the first guide section; and a second guide section that is provided with a second flow channel in which the temperature adjustment liquid is circulated. The temperature adjustment liquid in the first flow channel of the first guide section, said temperature adjustment liquid having been heated by means of the heating section, is supplied to the second flow channel of the second guide section, thereby maintaining the second guide section at a temperature higher than a dew-point temperature. |
