The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a method for inducing differentiation into retinal ganglion cells in a form suitable for clinical purposes, from pluripotent stem cells. Provided is a method for producing axon elongated retinal ganglion cells, said method comprising: (a) a step of inducing differentiation into retinal precursor cells by suspension culture of pluripotent stem cells; (b) a step of inducing differentiation into retinal ganglion cells by suspension culture of the retinal precursor cells obtained in step (a); and (c) a step of stretching axons by adherent culture of the retinal ganglion cells obtained in step (b). |
