PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal powder molding and a press apparatus each yielding an excellent productivity by preventing malfunctions.SOLUTION: In the provided manufacturing method, a metal powder molding is obtained by subjecting, to a compression work in the interior of a through-hole 31 punching through a body mold 1 along the top-bottom direction thereof, a metal powder fed in-between an upper mold 2 and a lower mold 4 fitted into the through-hole 31 respectively from above and below and then mobilized contiguously toward one another. The metal powder is fed atop the vertex surface 43 of the lower mold furnished with a stress adjustment step differential unit 44 along the peripheral edges of the vertex surface 43, and after the metal powder has been subjected to a compression work by mobilizing the upper mold 2 contiguously toward the lower mold 4, the lower mold 4 is mobilized upward through the interior of the through-hole 31, and the metal powder molding is withdrawn from the through-hole 31. |
