The method involves measuring electric signals representing eddy current, and evaluating variation of electric signal of coils (511-536) in time by considering edge effect corresponding to specific electric signal issued from the installed coil, where the level of the variation indicates presence of defects in the structure. The phases of the electric signal issued from the coils are determined. The phase difference of the electric signal is analyzed with respect to phase reference corresponding to eddy current. An independent claim is also included for an eddy current non-destructive inspection device for detecting defects in non accessible or difficult accessible zone of a metallic structure of an aircraft, comprising an activating unit. |
