PURPOSE: To obtain a pouring nozzle excellent in hydration resistance. CONSTITUTION: It is a pouring nozzle for molten metal in which surface coating is applied on CaO containing refractory and the surface coated layer consists of hydration resistance agent having heat resistance. Further it is a pouring nozzle in which two different surface coatings are applied on CaO containing refractory, a first surface coated layer is made of hydration preventing agent and a second surface coated layer is made of resin. In these nozzles, the surface coated layer or first surface coated layer is made of one or more kinds among MgO, ZrO and binder. By this method, a single layer coated nozzle can prevent or reduce hydration of CaO at high temp. in preheating. In the case of two layers, it is excellent in hydration resistance at normal temp., also, long term storage is made possible. |
