PRINTING JOB CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase variation for status when a printing job is controlled to enhance convenience for a printer. SOLUTION: A job controller for controlling the status of the printing job is provided inside the printer PRT to conform to the international standard ISO/IEC10175-1, in a printing system constructed via a network LAN. A create control part 6 is provided in addition to respective function blocks for processing the printing job pursuant to the standard. When an indication of 'create' is issued for the printing job for which the execution is held, by a user, the create control part 6 generates a slave job newly using the indicated printing job as a master job, and executes one of the printing jobs therein. At least one printing job is stored in the held condition. A stored document is able to be reprinted repeatedly at an optional time.
