PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily read contents. SOLUTION: The thumbnail icons of contents recorded in a memory stick are displayed while being linearly arranged. The order of the arrangement of thumbnail icons accords with an order corresponding to icons for sort in a control area. A user can scroll the thumbnail icons displayed in the control area by rotating a jog dial. The user rotates the jog dial and presses the jog dial after the thumbnail icon of desired contents id splayed (at a central part) as a selected state thumbnail icon. Thus, contents corresponding to the selected state thumbnail icon are reproduced.
