PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which is arranged so that self discharge is suppressed, and in which lithium titanate is used for a negative electrode.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery is provided. The method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte battery in connection with the embodiment comprises: assembling the nonaqueous electrolyte battery which includes a negative electrode including lithium titanate, a positive electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte; charging the nonaqueous electrolyte battery thus assembled; and causing discharge of the charged nonaqueous electrolyte battery. The discharge to be performed on the charged nonaqueous electrolyte battery is conducted for over 0.2 seconds at a rate of 5C or larger so that the charged state SOC of the nonaqueous electrolyte battery is 10-95%. |
