The present invention provides an endoscopic mid infrared imaging device. The device comprises a mid infrared, MIR, light source; at least one optical fibre adapted to transport MIR light emitted from the MIR light source; an imaging probe coupled to the optical fibre, wherein the imaging probe is adapted to provide a MIR light beam to an imaging area; and optics adapted to control the size of the MIR light beam for imaging. |
