PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of a photodetector for detecting the attitude of a chip part sucked to the nozzle of a mounter. SOLUTION: A chip part position detecting system comprises an optical system 16 for irradiating a chip part 12 sucked to a nozzle 13 with a diffused light from a line light source 14 and focusing the shaded part of the chip part with a size corresponding to the angle of view from a specified point of view, and a linear sensor 17 receiving the focused image. Based on the measurements of four sides of the chip part when the nozzle is turned and one end of the linear sensor is contracted most toward the other end, the relation between the measurements and the angle of view of each side from a point of view, and the positional relation between the center of rotation of the nozzle and the point of view 16a, shifts Δx, Δy in the XY directions of the reference suction position of the chip part from the center of rotation of the nozzle are calculated and then the inclination Δθ of the chip part against the reference suction attitude is calculated from the angle of view and the rotational angle of nozzle when the measurements are taken. |
