PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image recording material in which direct recording with IR laser is possible and which does not occur image omission due to a stain such as fingerprints left in handling when an image is recorded after laser exposure. SOLUTION: The image recording material contains (A) a high molecular compound having an aromatic hydrocarbon group and a fluoroaliphatic hydrocarbon group obtained by substituting fluorine atoms for hydrogen atoms, (B) a high molecular compound soluble in alkaline water, (C) an IR absorber, (D) a compound which generates an acid under light or heat and (E) a crosslinking agent which attains crosslinking by the acid. The image recording material forms a negative image when irradiated with IR. |
