Nowadays, cement furnaces are supplied by Fuel oil and coke, which comply with their function of generating heat power, however, the cost of these is higher compared to that of an alternate fuel, in this case the blue alternate fuel being formed by hazardous residues such as papers, cardboard, cloths, tow, leather, which are impregnated mainly by hydrocarbon derivatives, liquids from oils, lubricants used in automotive engines and in other types of engines such as refrigeration oils and also edible oils, except the biphenyl polychlorinated oils from electric transformers. This fuel also reduces production costs and is environmentally friendly since it processes special handling and hazardous residues. In addition, it is worthy to mention that fossil fuel releases large amounts of CO2, while the alternate blue fuel reduces the released amounts of CO2 avoiding therefore global warming. The heating power of these components will be used in such a manner that are mixed and co-processed fo r obtaining the suitable temperature inside the furnaces of the cement industry. The use of alternate fuels reduces the use of fossil fuels in the process of cement manufacture, and therefore the global emissions. |
