PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain metallic-tone monochromatic color display which has light, distinctive, good-visibility, and sharp reflection colors by providing a polarizing plate, a light control film, a liquid crystal element, a cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer sheet, a circular polarization phase difference plate, and a light absorbing member. SOLUTION: The TN liquid crystal element 7 consists of 1st and 2nd substrates 1 and 2 formed of glass plates of about 0.7 mm in thickness on which 1st and 2nd electrodes 3 and 4 of ITO are formed respectively, a seal material 5 which sticks a couple of those 1st and 2nd substrates 1 and 2 on each other, and 90 deg.-twist-aligned nematic liquid crystal 6 sandwiched between the 1st and 2nd substrates 1 and 2. The light control film 14 and polarizing plate 8 are arranged outside the 2nd substrate 2 and the circular polarization phase difference plate 9, cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer sheet 10, and light absorbing member 11 are arranged outside the 1st substrate 1. The 1st substrate 1, circular polarization phase difference plate 9, and cholesteric liquid crystalline polymer sheet 10 are adhered by using an acryl-based adhesive. |
