An endoscope 2 comprises: a distal end hard section 25; a first objective lens affixation frame 31 disposed in a through-hole 25h1 in the distal end hard section 25; a movable frame 33 disposed in a holding frame 32 and holding a movable lens 33L; a wire unit 37 having an operation wire 37w and a hard shaft 37s, the hard shaft 37s having a greater diameter than the operation wire 37w; a wire unit connection protrusion 33c having a flange 37f disposed on the distal end surface side thereof, the flange 37f having a greater diameter than the hard shaft 37s; a first unit hole 61 provided in a holding frame protrusion 32c with which the wire unit connection protrusion 32c is in contact, the first unit hole 61 allowing the flange 37f disposed on the distal end surface side of the wire unit connection protrusion 32c to pass therethrough; a lid member 64 mounted to the first unit hole 61; a second unit hole 62 allowing the flange 37f of the hard shaft 37s to pass therethrough; and a sealing screw 65 for sealing the second unit hole 62. |
