PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly reliably and efficiently manufacture an intermittent coupling state of an intermittent type optical fiber tape core in a manufacturing line.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for inspecting an intermittent coupling state of an intermittent type optical fiber tape core 10 in the manufacturing line of the tape core, the tape core formed by intermittently coupling plural single-core coated optical fibers 11 arranged parallel to each other and making them into tape. In the method, while an intermittent type optical fiber tape core 10a is caused to run in a guide groove, for guiding the intermittent type optical fiber tape core, of a jig 72 having the guide groove on its top surface, the intermittent type optical fiber tape core 10a is expanded at a part where the plural single-core coated optical fibers 11 are not coupled in a width direction by suction from both sides in the width direction or air blow from above and/or below in the guide groove. The expanded part is then checked with a laser sensor 76. |
