<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glove compartment excellent in design, while enhancing manufacturability. SOLUTION: A glove compartment manufacturing method includes a joining process in which a main plate 1 of a predetermined length, in which a piping part 4 having an opening 3 in its middle and extending in the longitudinal direction of the main plate, a recess 5, and a folded back part 6 are formed at both sides of the opening 3, is provided and both ends of the main plate 1 are joined together to form a loop, with the outer surface of the main plate 1 directed inward; a folding process in which the loop is provided inside an annular die to fold a folded back part back to the outside of the die; a joining and cutting process in which an auxiliary plate serving as each side surface of the glove compartment is disposed at each end of the loop and joined with the folding part 6 while unnecessary parts are cut away; and an inverting process in which a product released from the die is inverted by use of the opening 3.</p> |
