<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner fixing temperature from locally getting high and to obtain uniform fixing performance by providing a restricting body partially restricting radiation energy which is emitted from a flash light source and should be imparted to a toner image on a recording medium between the light source and the recording medium. SOLUTION: The radiation energy radiated from the flash light source 1 is joined with a component reflected from a reflector 3 at the back of the light source 1, transmitted through a glass plate 5 and irradiates the toner image 7 already formed on the recording medium 2. The radiation energy is selectively absorbed in the toner image 7 and the toner is heated, melted and stuck to the medium 2. In such a case, the restricting body 4 is positioned in the middle of the light source 1 and the medium 2, and arranged to be positioned on the shortest distance between the light source 1 and the medium 2. Thus, the restricting body 4 is arranged on the path of a light beam irradiating a part where the radiation energy is the highest on the medium 2, and the radiation energy is partially reduced.</p> |
