<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve the position of a required tool out of plural punch presses or tool magazines by connecting a punch identification medium reading device and a die identification medium reading device to the tool management device for collectively storing a punch identification information/a die identification information. SOLUTION: In the case of setting punch dies 26, 28 into prescribed setting holes 22a, 24a on turrets 22, 24 in the punch press system providing with plural punch presses, first e.g. the punch identification medium is read with a proper portable reading means, thereafter the punch 26 is set to the upper turret 22. Next, the identification medium of the die 28 is read. In the case of not coinciding with or not adapting to the information from the punch identification medium, an error signal is outputted. In the case of the information of both coinciding with or adapting to, the positional information of setting holes 22a, 24a on the turret and the punch identification information/the die identification information are stored in the memory of the NC unit for the punch press as a set of data and connected to a central management device.</p> |
