The present invention makes it possible, even for welded section steel of asymmetrical shape in which sections of flange members have different degrees of thermal deformation after welding, to allow for corrections to the original cross-sectional configuration to be easily made. The present invention is provided with a correction apparatus (100) in which the ends of a web member (3) are caused to abut at right angles against flange members (1, 2) and the abutting sections are welded together, whereupon the shapes of the flange members having been thermally deformed by input heat during welding are then corrected. This correction apparatus has: flange member correction rollers (24) that are installed at the ends of the flange members and correct thermal deformation from the flange member ends to the sections abutting the web member by pushing the web member side of the ends of the flange members; and web member support rollers (44, 45) for supporting the web surfaces of the web member. The flange member correction rollers installed at the ends of the flange members correct the thermal deformation using pushing force independently at each end of the flange members. |
