PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump system in which operation of a compressor can be continued without drying-up of the oil in the compressor, irrespective of largeness and smallness of a refrigerant circulation amount.SOLUTION: The heat pump system includes: the compressor 21 which compresses a refrigerant and discharges it; a water refrigerant heat exchanger 23 which performs heat exchange between the refrigerant discharged from the compressor 21 and water; an electronic expansion valve 25 which decompresses and expands the refrigerant cooled by the water refrigerant heat exchanger 23; an air heat exchanger 22 which performs heat exchange between the refrigerant passed through the electronic expansion valve 25 and air; and a control section 29 which controls a number of rotations of the compressor 21. The control section 29 controls the number of rotations of the compressor 21 to a range not exceeding a critical number of rotations of the compressor obtained based on: the refrigerant circulation amount predetermined on the premise of no drying-up of the oil in the compressor 21; and a presumed density of the refrigerant sucked by the compressor 21. |
