The invention relates to a method for purifying a contaminated organophosphorous product which contains at least one organophosphorous compound and at least one chlorine compound as a contaminant. The aim of the invention is to provide a purification method in which the chlorine content of an organophosphorous product, which contains at least one organophosphorous compound and at least one chlorine compound as a contaminant, can be reduced from an original content of 1000 to 100,000 ppm to a total chlorine content between 10 and 10,000 ppm. This is achieved by a method having the following steps: a) providing the contaminated organophosphorous product; b) completely dissolving the contaminated organophosphorous product in a solvent, thereby obtaining a contaminated solution; c) separating the contaminated solution using a filter and/or a membrane separating unit, thereby obtaining a purified solution; and d) removing the solvent from the purified solution, thereby obtaining a purified organophosphorous product. |
