PURPOSE:To improve a white ground and to enhance the image preservable property of a dye image by confining the color development processing time to <=25sec without incorporating a benzyl alcohol into a color developing soln. and executing the entire processing stage of the color development processing time, bleach-fix processing time and washing time within 2min in total. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material having a silver halide emulsion contg. >=90mol.% silver chloride is subjected to the color development processing and is then subjected to the bleach-fix processing and washing. The benzyl alcohol is not substantially incorporated into the color developing soln. and the color development processing time is confined to <=25sec at this time; in addition, the total processing stage of the color develop ment processing time, the bleach-fix processing time and the rinsing time is executed within 2min.
