<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic tape guide device capable of eliminating slacking in a magnetic tape in its widthwise direction caused by twisting the magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The magnetic tape T is guided and traveled in this magnetic tape guide device 1 by using plural magnetic tape guides from a supply reel 11 so as to be diagonally wound around a rotary magnetic head assembly 4 and then wound up on a take-up reel 12. At least one magnetic tape guide out of the plural magnetic tape guides is formed into a drum type guide 3. A drum shape of this drum type guide is formed based on a difference value between a length Lb of a central part and a length La of a side peripheral part of the magnetic tape from the supply reel up to the magnetic tape guide, where a twist of the magnetic tape is completed.</p> |
