1. A method for orienting articles which travel along an assembly path within an air-driven orientation device, the method comprising:
generating a low-pressure air flow using a high flow centrifugal blower of the air-driven orientation device; transmitting the low-pressure air flow through a conduit and to a nozzle, wherein the nozzle has a nozzle inlet coupled with an outlet of the conduit, wherein the nozzle comprises a nozzle body having the nozzle inlet, a nozzle outlet, and an annular wall defining a first passage that extends through the nozzle body and which couples the nozzle inlet to the nozzle outlet; receiving the low pressure air flow at a first velocity at the nozzle inlet; and generating and outputting an air flow having a second velocity at the nozzle outlet which is 4 to 16 times greater than the first velocity, wherein the air flow having the second velocity is configured to orient articles. |
