PURPOSE:To provide an electrolyte layer having a high electrolytic solution ratio and with no risk of occurrence of shortcircuiting resulting from deformation by melting a mixture of a certain electrolyte and binder, making once decompression to be returned to normal pressure, performing cooling and crushing, and using the resultant as an electrolyte layer. CONSTITUTION:Lithium chloride.kalium chloride as electrolyte and magnesium oxide as binder are mixed together and melted in a furnace, which is kept decompressed condition for a certain period of time to be returned to normal pressure, and the resultant is cooled, solidified, crushed, subjected to powder molding in a die to form an electrolyte layer. The decompression in this process allows the electrolyte to intrude to the surface of the binder and its inside, which increases the degree of adsorption of the electrolyte with binder, and the water and other impurities in the electrolyte are evaporated. This raises the ratio of the electrolyte in the electrolyte layer obtained thereby and enhances the segregating ability whereby no deformation is made even pinched by electrodes. |
