摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation-detecting apparatus which prevents lowering of detection accuracy for the amount of a shift resulting from skipping of reading and detects the correct amount of the shift by detecting a detector pattern with the use of three sensors and correcting the skipping of reading of one step. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a detection pattern M0 set via an equal distance along a shifting direction of a shifting member, a first through a third sensors M1-M3 separated an equal distance of (1±n/6) times a cycle of the detection patterns (wherein (n) is 1-5) for detecting the detection pattern M0, a calculating means M4 for calculating the amount of a shift when output patterns from the first - third sensors change in the predetermined order in accordance with the shifting direction, and a correcting means M5 for correcting the amount of the shift calculated by the calculating means when one of the output patterns of the first through third sensors is skipped at the read time. The three sensors output six patterns. Even when one of the six patterns is skipped, the amount of the shift is corrected, enabling the correct detection of the amount of the shift.</p>
