An ultrasonic surgical system (1) that has: an output circuit (81) that generates drive power; an ultrasonic transducer (24) that is connected to the output circuit (81) and that converts the drive power into ultrasonic vibrations; a probe (180) that is connected to the ultrasonic transducer (24) and that transmits ultrasonic vibrations; a cutting part (181) that is provided to the probe (180), that contacts a prescribed section of cartilage, that, by means of energy converted from the drive power, makes the prescribed section of cartilage generate heat, and that shaves off the cartilage as a result of being pressed by an operator while in contact with the cartilage; and a control circuit (82) that controls the drive power outputted from the output circuit (81) such that the temperature of the prescribed section of cartilage becomes 120℃ or higher within 2 seconds. |
