Provided is a coating film 12 which is formed as an anti-wear layer on a hot-forming die 1 used for hot molding of a steel sheet 10. The coating film 12 is characterized by comprising tungsten carbide, and 3-15 wt% of residual cobalt. The hot-forming die 1 is intended to be used in hot forming of the steel sheet 10, and is provided with: a base material 11 that has a forming surface 11A; and the coating film 12 formed on the forming surface 11A. The hot forming method comprises a step for heating the steel sheet 10, and a step for forming the heated steel sheet 10 by using the hot-forming die 1.
