A fiber optic or electrically conductive cable comprising one or more coated wires or fiber optic filaments, a flame retardant cable filler in the form of a continuous yarn, fiber, filament, web, strip, tape or rod and formed of a polyolefin composition having incorporated therein from about 0.5 to 5 percent by weight of at least one halogen free NOR hindered amine flame retardant, at least one NOROL hindered amine flame retardant or a combination thereof, based on the combined weight of the hindered amine flame retardant and the polyolefin, and a sheath encasing the foregoing. |
