SOLUTION: At the time of producing a dental prosthesis, a three-dimensional shape measuring instrument 1 first measures the three-dimensional shape of a pier tooth needing prosthetic and restoration, a proximal tooth, the engagement face of the antagonist of the pier tooth, etc. Next, a controller 2 automatically designs the shape of the prosthesis from its shape data, automatically generates the NC program of a multiaxes machining means 3 and then controls the means 3 to grind a material to be machined.
