Provided are a method for power management and a system for power management using the same. According to the present method for power management, the amount of power used of a specific group is monitored, and a used power pattern is determined on the basis of a change in the amount of power used over a specific period of time. By using a determined used power pattern, a device which has used corresponding power over the specific period of time may be extracted. Accordingly, a power analysis for home appliances having various consumption patterns may be processed through a pattern analysis, whereby complexity may be reduced and accuracy may be improved during detection of a power using device. |
