An aqueous dispersion, a production method for said aqueous dispersion, and an image formation method using said aqueous dispersion. The aqueous dispersion contains: a resin having a polymerizable group; gel particles having a polymerizable group, having a three-dimensional cross-linked structure including at least one type of bond selected from urethane bonds and urea bonds, and encasing a phootopolymerizable initiator; and water. The total solids content of the gel particles relative to the total amount of resin having a polymerizable group is 0.1%-100% by mass.
