The present invention relates to an apparatus for storing energy as rotational energy, and to a system and method for providing electrical energy. The apparatus comprises: a rotor device (112) and a stator device (113); the rotor device (112) being designed to rotate relative to the stator device (113) about a rotational axis (A), and the stator device (113) being arranged on the rotational axis (A); an electrical machine (114) by means of which the rotor device (112) can be supplied with a torque and by means of which a rotational energy of a rotation of the rotor device (112) can be converted into electrical energy; a passive electrodynamic radial bearing device (116) for radially mounting the rotor device (112); and a passive magnetostatic axial bearing device (118) for axially mounting the rotor device (112). |
