The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for cutting plastic pipes (6), in particular corrugated plastic pipes (6), comprising: a multi-part housing (2), having a first housing part (2a) and a second housing part (2b), which can be displaced relative to one another between an open position and a closed position, wherein the housing parts (2a, 2b) in the closed position form a pipe-receiving space (8) for at least partially receiving the plastic pipe (6); a multi-part cutting ring (20), which has a first cutting ring portion (20a) and a second cutting ring portion (20b), which are formed separately from one another and are arranged displaceably relative to the housing parts (2a, 2b), wherein the cutting ring portions (20a, 20b) in the closed position of the housing parts (2a, 2b) are arranged such that they extend around the pipe-receiving space (8), and wherein at least one of the cutting ring portions (20a, 20b) has a cutting blade (30) protruding radially inwards at least partially into the pipe-receiving space (8); and a driving device (22, 28; 44, 46) for driving the cutting ring (20) in rotation; wherein in the closed position of the housing parts (2a, 2b) the plastic pipe (6) can be fixed in the pipe-receiving space (8), and in the open position of the housing parts (2a, 2b) the plastic pipe (6) can be introduced substantially in the radial direction into the opened pipe-receiving space (8). |
