Provided is a pneumatic fender and a folding method for same with which it is possible to reduce the time required to deflate and fold a bag body constituting the pneumatic fender by smoothly discharging air inside the bag body to the exterior. A projection 5 projecting to the inside of a bag body 2 is provided on the inner face of the bag body 2 in an area where a metal opening fitting 6 is embedded. By way of deflating the bag body 2 by discharging the air a inside the bag body 2 to the outside from a discharge port 8, the projection 5 is made to come into contact with the inner face of the bag body 2 at a location opposite the projection 5, a gap is formed between the inner face of the bag body 2 in the area where the metal opening fitting 6 is embedded and the inner face of the bag body on the side in contact with the projection 5, and this gap is made to communicate with the discharge port 8. In this state, the bag body 2 deflates by way of discharging the air a inside the bag body 2 from the discharge port 8 to the outside and folds flat with each cylinder end 4 on top of a cylindrical portion 3. |
