A method for regulating a playing delay comprises the steps of: regulating a playing delay surplus on the basis of a difference in value between a first playing delay obtained by a first method and a second playing delay obtained by a second method, and determining an adaptation type of a current frame according to whether a previous frame is an active frame; and modifying a time scale transformation according to an adaptation method determined by the comparison result of the first playing delay and the second playing delay and the comparison result of a target delay and the first playing delay, if the determined adaptation type is a signal-based adaptation.
