PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for sorting or separating regenerable contents of trash bags by minimizing damage and breakdown thereof. SOLUTION: A trash bag opening device 10 has a trash bag transporting conveyor 11 located below a closed type upper conveyor 31. Sharp bars 32 stretch outwardly from the conveyor. When the trash bag is released from a charging chute 16, these bars stick the trash bag at first. When the lower conveyor 11 carries a packed trash below the upper conveyor 31, the bars of the upper conveyor 31 move faster than the lower conveyor 11 to prick and break the trash bag from above and thereby the trash bag is opened and content trash is scattered on the conveyor. In order to minimize stopping of the conveyor caused by catching of large sized trash, the bar is formed of a leaf spring material and can be bent in a machine crossing direction. At the same time, these bars are preferably enforced by gussets extending in a machine direction between the bar and a rigid base. |
