1. An electrolyte for a rechargeable lithium battery comprising
a non-aqueous organic solvent; a lithium salt; a first compound represented by Chemical Formula 1; and a second compound represented by Chemical Formula 2, wherein an amount of the first compound is about 0.05 wt % to about 10 wt % and an amount of the second compound is about 0.05 wt % to about 10 wt %: wherein, k, m, and n are independently an integer of 0 to 20, and k, m and n are selected to provide an asymmetric structure of Chemical Formula 1, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are each independently hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C30 alkoxy group, a halogen, a C1-C5 fluoroalkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C2-C30 alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-C30 aryl group, a carbonyl group, or an amine group, and wherein, n is an integer of 1 to 3, and X is hydrogen, a halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-C10 alkoxy group. |
