摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To suppress the number of times of master clock node switching during system operations to the minimum by periodically changing a node most stably operated at that time point into the master clock node among the nodes on the same LAN. CONSTITUTION: A monitoring part 6 collects the fault information of a transmission line IF part 1, multiplex part 2, terminal IF part 3, control part 4 and power source part 5 and reports it to a LAN managing device 8. The priority arithmetic means of the device 8 collects the fault information generated at these plural node circles 1, 2, 3... and find the priority of respective nodes by using a statistical method. For example, the degrees of instability for respective nodes are calculated for each node from the number of times of fault generation and the degree of importance for that fault in the communication system. Then, the decision of priority is started from the node with the least degree of instability, namely, from the most stable node and the change instruction of the master clock node and the priority data are transmitted to the respective nodes. Since each node performs an automatic change corresponding to the received priority data so that the most preferential node can be the master clock node, the number of times of node switching is suppressed to the minimum.</p>
