Disclosed are an electrode for generating negative oxygen ions and a negative oxygen ion generator using the electrode. The electrode comprises a metal ring, having a U-shaped longitudinal section, wherein a U-shaped groove of the metal ring is filled with a circle of fibre bundles, the fibre bundles are tightly glued with the metal ring by a conductive adhesive, and the fibre bundles are formed from micron-sized carbon fibres or fullerene fibres. By the electrode of the present invention, the productivity of negative oxygen ions is increased; the generation of ozone molecules is greatly reduced; by strong deflecting air flow, the generated high-concentration negative oxygen ions are conveyed to a very distant space for breathing by people, thus increasing the utilization rate of negative oxygen ions, without a filter mesh, simplifying the structure of the negative oxygen ion generator and reducing the volume. |
