<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method for removing an oxygen-containing impurity such as CO2, NOx or SOx contained in various waste gases and a device for executing the method. CONSTITUTION:In the method for treating the waste gas containing the oxygen- containing impurity by passing the waste gas through a waste gas treating device 3 packed with an activated magnetite type compound, the waste gas is supplied to the waste gas treating device 3 after oxygen contained in the waste gas is removed by combustion in a combustor 4 installed in front of the waste gas treating device 3. As a result, there is no need to install an oxygen removing device by the method, amine solution method or the like and the impurity in the waste gas is efficiently removed by a simplified process.</p> |
